RULE BANNING CERTAIN DOG BREEDS
On October 9, 2013, the Oxford Chase HOA Board adopted a new rule under Article VII, Section 7(b) of the Declaration of Covenants and Restrictions. This rule prohibits the following breeds of dogs from being owned or kept within the Oxford Chase subdivision:
1. Pit Bull. A "pit bull" is defined as any dog that is an American Pit Bull Terrier, American Staffordshire Terrier or Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
2. Rottweiler.
3. Canid/wolf hybrids.
4. Any dog displaying the majority of physical traits of any one or more of the above breeds (more so than any other breed), or any dog exhibiting those distinguishing characteristics which substantially conform to the standards established by the American Kennel Club or United Kennel Club for any of the above breeds as may be determined by a licensed veterinarian.
Any homeowner that currently owns any banned breed prior to October 9, 2013 shall notify the Board and that dog shall be excepted from this rule.
It shall be the responsibility of the homeowner to make any renter or visitor aware of this rule.
